Cinnamon, Butter, Raisins...Oh my, my, my...Day 3

Mmmmmmmm. First I warmed the KitchenAid's bowl by running it under warm water. A little warm water, some yeast, flour, sugar, and with just a the flip of the speed-switch we were literally humming right along.

The main thing that I learned today is just how easy clean-up is with Betty. I've done a little bread-making in the past, and have always felt the actual kneading of the dough to be very enjoyable. Sort of a physical connection between me and the dough. Today I found out that physical connection just isn't that important when you're talking about three moist and delicious loaves of Cinnamon Raisin Bread. After adding the ingredients, my job was basically done for a couple of hours. Betty just kept moving the dough around, doing all of the hard work. My job was simply to watch her do her thing.

About an hour later, after the first rising, I exerted myself by jabbing the puffy dough down and rolling it out into a flattened rectangle. After painting my quadrilateral with warm, melted butter, I added the cinnamon sugar and rolled it all tightly up, forming the inner-swirl of deliciousness. Oh the 'yum-factor' is definitely an 8+ with this treat. This is exactly why the bread never lasts! Hours of smelling butter and cinnamon drive the entire household into a feeding frenzy. Thank God it's gotten easier to whip these babies out..
